ACCELERATE findings to be presented to European Research Infrastructures at the 4th European User Office Meeting (EUOM)

29-30 April 2020 – ELI beamlines, Dolní Břežany, Czech Republic

CERIC will take part in the 4th European User Office Meeting (EUOM), organized by ELI with the support of ERF, the Association of European-Level Research Infrastructures Facilities.

The workshop continues a series of successful meetings dedicated to the User Office Community and provides unique opportunity for the European User Office representatives for exchanging information and experiences on present and upcoming common challenges relevant to user operation at the RI facilities.

This year’s programme will include participatory sessions where CERIC will contribute by presenting its findings on Open access procedures and policies, peer review processes and publication policies, resulting from the work developed in the frame of the ACCELERATE project. This work was summarised in two project deliverables, publicly available:

The first deliverable presents an overview on the state of the art of access procedures at large national RIs in Europe and some European networks. Meant to be used as a tool by ACCELERATE project partners in order to develop or improve, their own access procedures, the work performed involved several RIs, who became active contributors. CERIC-ERIC will share with the RIs participating to the workshop the main findings emerged during this task.

The second deliverable comprised benchmarking of publication policies adopted within different European RIs and an analysis of the similarities and differences in various aspects, including a prospective on the future of publications in the open data era.
